KAWS is the pseudonym of Brian Donnelly, a contemporary artist and designer with a background in animation and product design. His career has spanned over 25 years, both critiquing and participating in consumer culture by emphasizing the fine line between fine and commercial art. Drawing influence from the realms of graphic design and street art, KAWS creates work that focuses on themes of commodification, love, connection, loneliness, and alienation. His body of work includes prints, paintings, sculptures, and toys which have been exhibited in museums worldwide, as well as collaborations with major brands such as Nike, Supreme, Uniqlo, and Commes des Garçons.
