Katherine Bernhardt is a contemporary American artist whose work combines a bright color pallet and repetitive patterns with pop culture characters and consumer goods. Working quickly to create energetic compositions, Bernhardt’s paintings reflect the influence of graffiti art, color field painting, and action painting, with an emphasis on creating interesting textures and emphasizing the geometric form of her subject matter.
